Happy (Part-3)

Image
As they advanced towards the bush, they found a rabbit munching on his breakfast. 'That's a rabbit.' Moin said. 'It is so beautiful!' Happy jumped up. 'Shh!' Moin hushed. 'You are making much noise.' 'Oops!' he said. The rabbit chewed the last bite of his breakfast and burped. Happy gave a pleasing look to Moin. A plantlet appeared near the rabbit's tail. The rabbit's yawn had a special place in Moin's heart. Suddenly, the rabbit's ears pricked up. He started running from a particular direction. 'It's the hunters.' Moin warned. 'Come with me, Happy.' 'Okay.' Happy followed. After reaching home, Moin climbed the roof and spread some branches all over the treehouse. 'Who are they?' Happy asked struggling to sit on chair. 'Hunters!' he replied. 'They kill animals and sell their body parts.' 'They kill animals?' Happy's worried look worried Moin. 'Don't worry...

Happy (Part-2)

It climbed Moin's house. Moin came panting. 'This thing dropped from the sky,' he mumbled, 'and he broke into my house? Come back!' When he climbed up, he found the little thing sitting on a chair. 'What's your name?' he asked. But it didn't respond, but tilted its head towards him. 'I don't know what language you understand, but' Moin said, 'are you lost?' He pointed at it and tried to look in every direction, which symbolised that something or someone is lost. 'My name's Happy,' it spoke, 'I am not lost. I like your house.' 'Oh!' Moin exclaimed. 'So, you can speak my language, right?' Happy tilted his head, which Moin translated as 'yes'. 'Are you some kind of angel?' He asked. 'Of course not!' Happy replied. 'I am here to find friends.' 'So,' Moin asked, 'don't you have friends?' 'No,' Happy said, looking...

Happy (Part-1)

Image
It is a fine morning. The tweeting of sparrows, the squeaks of squirrels and the song of the wind woke up Moin. He is an 8 year old boy who lives in the heart of Peace Wood. This wood, as its name suggests, is popular for peace and serenity. No one lives here, except Moin and his animal friends. We see Moin climbing down his tree house, Peace Home. 'Good morning!' he cried, stretching and yawning. 'Time to collect some fruits!' He went deep into the wood and starts collecting fruits. He has a natural ability to distinguish which friut's better. When he reached an apple tree, something strange happened. Some of the apples dropped on him. Moin looked at the sky. He saw birds retreating from a particular direction. The earth beneath his foot started to tremble. He ran deeper to know what had happened. When he reached there, he found a giant pit. When he bent to look what caused it, he was astonished! He saw a spaceship. He hid behind a tree. With a cl...

Letting Go

Image
Letting go means to stop overthinking about the past. It means letting go of painful memories and thoughts. It also means to stop dwelling in the past. Man has been a great thinker. He thinks about various topics and ponders over them. It is in our hands whether to think good or bad. The good consists of positive thoughts which takes one ahead in life. Positive thinking always leads to prosperity. The bad consists of negative thoughts which stops the progress of oneself, and he is stuck in a pit he can't climb out of. Man thinks positively when he is living in the present, thinking of the present and enjoying every moment; feeling it completely. And this makes him happy. Negativity surrounds him the moment he starts thinking of the past or the unknown future. The abyss of negativity blinds him; blinds him of every positive moment. He starts thinking about either the past regrets or the consequences of the future. And this cycle goes on and on; it never ends. The only way to end i...

Walk the Forest (Creative Writing)

Image
Walk the Forest Walking in the dense forest of elephantic trees, I sensed a feeling of belongingness. The belongingness, that had been since my birth, which, I just discovered. I feel connected to it; connected to every living thing around. The lushness swims in my eyes. The green trees are home to several living beings. The cool blanket of air has surrounded me. It makes me elated. My soul is shouting with joy. The smile on my face is so natural! As I walk on the soil, I feel the softness of earth. The soil seems a part of me. The more I walk, the more homely I feel. As I touch the leaves, fresh droplets fall from it upon my dry skin. As I run my fingers over the barks, they (fingers) get cold and sweet. All this enhances my spirit. The air is filled with the fragrance of leaves, flowers and love. No perfume can compete with this fragrance. This place seems so welcoming, for, this is my home. When I open my mouth, the mintiness in the air fills my tongue. I feel...

Invisible Blanket (Poem)

Intoduction to Nature We have been under the shade of nature for a long time. We all are part of it. Without her, our existence is impossible. Wind We daily interact with nature. Some feel it, while some ignore it. Those who ignore don't know what a bounty nature is to man, but those who feel it, enjoy it, discover it, know what truly she is. Nature's lap is solacing. Whenever I feel lonely, I don't seem for a company of people, but company of nature. I have learnt many things from nature herself, that I might have never learned from people. When I am elated, I celebrate by going to a nearby garden or riverside. I listen to songs of trees, chirping of birds, warbling of water, and much more. I seek them whenever I go. I feel at home when I am in her lap. After my mother's lap comes Nature's lap. I feel sleepy, drowsy; ready to dive. I feel so myself. To understand nature with a better perspective, let's take an example. If you start at a tree...
